Here are my 10 reasons why the Dallas Cowboys should draft a QB in the first round of this years draft. They may need to trade up to get him. I don’t care what they do as long as they get either Bridgewater or Manziel. Not in any particular order.  Chime in Dallas fans if you agree, or disagree.

#1 Back to Back Surgeries in a 8 month span. Pun Intended.

#2 Tony Romo will turn 34 years of age in 7 days on April 21st.  That’s getting up there for a Quarterback coming off of 2 back surgeries. Troy Aikman retired at 35 years of age several concussions later.  Plus you know what the athletes love to do after they retire?, Play Golf.

#3 Who is the Dallas Cowboys backup Quarterback again?  It’s clearly a live by Romo, Die By Romo situation being forced from the top.  SMH. Really Jerry!

#4 It was hard to see some key pieces loss to free agency this year. When the Cowboys decided to part ways with Demarcus Ware, it just said to Cowboys Nation that the organization is ending one era and starting a new era. That was a sad day in Cowboys history seeing Ware go.  Since the Cowboys is losing one of the faces of the team, I believe its time to start thinking about replacing another face, specifically at the QB position.  Then we can work on replacing the owner next. Right Cowboys fans?

#5  Although Tony Romo is great when it comes to statistics, and has many of the storied franchise records, a losing playoff record of 1-3 with zero superbowls to show will not cut it in the BIG D.  It’s time to put up or shut up.  Which would you rather hold statistical records or Lombardi trophies after you hang the jersey? These are more reasons why the organization should look to spend a first round pick on drafting a Quarterback of the future.

#6 This is by no means being disrespectful to my elders. I’m just being truthful. OUR DEFENSE SUCKS! Romo can’t do it by himself. Romo takes chances because he knows the DEFENSE SUCKS! I don’t see the defense improving under Monte any time soon.  This sounds like the perfect time to invest in the QB position, since were not going to the playoffs with this wanna be NFL defense.

#7 Message to Jerry Jones. Take notes from the Green Bay Packers organization and what they did in backing up the aging Bret Favre with Aaron Rodgers.  This allowed Rodgers to learn from a legend.  It also gave the organization an ample amount of time to mold Rodgers into what he is today, A franchise QB.  They got a Super Bowl out of the deal too.  Please sign the Cowboys up..

#8 We might not see players of the caliber of Johnny Manziel or Teddy Bridgewater for another couple of years. These are crucial years in Romo’s career. Years the Cowboys can use for on the job training seminars.  Don’t wait until it’s too late, or when it’s clear you need a QB.  Why set yourself back 10 years.  Hey Jerry, Learn the difference between being PROACTIVE, instead of REACTIVE. The word is Manziel did better than Peyton Manning on the Wonderlic test with a (32). Go Draft him, then mold him.

#9 The Dallas Cowboys have drafted the fewest Quarterbacks of any other organizations since the 2000’s with 2.  Quincy Carter with a 2nd Round Pick, and Stephen Mcgee with a 4th round pick.  3 times is a charm. The key is when to take the QB. Quit trying to find jewels and just go get the real deal in the first round. The last time Dallas took a Quarterback in the first round led the organization to 3 Superbowls in 4 years.

#10 Last but not least. The Fans of America’s Team are Tired of this Cowboys Era. Tired of the mediocre 8-8 seasons. Tired of missing the playoffs in a must win game. Tired of being the most talented team on paper. Tired of the Pittsburgh Squealers holding up 6 fingers. Tired of Jerry Jones poor decision-making. Tired of tricking off games. Tired of replacing coaches. Tired of Draft Day Busts. Tired of Spending money Traveling and coming home with losses. Tired of other fanbases telling us what we need to do. Tired of not giving Ms. Price something to cheer about. Tired of supporting a mediocre team. Tired of not making a playoff run.  JERRY, COWBOYS NATION IS SICK AND TIRED.  Give the fans something to get excited about in this years 2014 NFL draft. That excitement would be giving the fans hope that the future could be better.  That excitement would be trading up and drafting Manziel or Bridgewater with a first round draft pick.   Cowboys Nation Chime in.
