Agent Zero still making millions from the NBA

Despite the fact Gilbert Arenas has been out of the league since 2012, Arenas will make at least $12 million a year from the NBA until 2016. Due to the money he is owed from the 6-year, $111 million deal he signed with the Wizards in 2008. Just two years after the infamous gun incident the Wizards traded Arenas to the magic in 2010 where Orlando amnestied his contract with three years, $62 million left on it. Arenas $22.3 million salary makes him the third highest paid player in the NBA this season. He was paid more than everyone in the NBA except Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant. $22.3 million is the same amount the top three stars from his old Washington team combined made this past year. (John Wall, Nene, and Bradley Beal) . Instead of Magic paying Arenas another $20 million+ next year, they will stretch out the remainder of his contract so he will get $12 million per year until 2016. So if you think Joe Johnson is overpaid with the Brooklyn Nets imagine a guy like Gilbert Arenas who hasn’t played in single NBA game since 2012 with the Memphis Grizzlies .
