I recently caught up with Stafford Senior WR/CB (5-9 165lbs) Dorian Judkins. Football has opened up a lot of opportunities for Dorian, and has made him a lot more well rounded. With the 2015 Signing Day almost a month away, some great colleges are looking at Dorian for next year. Check out my exclusive interview with him below only on Analyzed Sports.
Well-Rounded Dorian Judkins Yields Opportunities
Analyzed Sports: Your team, the Stafford Indians, went 1-10 this season, for your senior season, what was that like to finish your career on a season like that?
Dorian Judkins: This season was very disappointing. Going into the season we had the confidence that we would be a great team because we worked hard all off-season. 7 days a week grinding, injuries also played a drastic roll in our season.
Analyzed Sports: What was your favorite memory of your senior season?
Dorian Judkins: My favorite memory was when we defeated Albemarle high school 35-14. This win was a huge confidence booster from the 24-23 loss to the 3A state runner up James Monroe high school. It felt great to be back on the winning side. I was proud of all my teammates for stepping up and handling business.
Analyzed Sports: What are your plans during the off-season?
Dorian Judkins: My plans for the off-season are to get bigger and stronger and get my 40 time down to the lower 4.5 seconds
Analyzed Sports: Your quarterback, Garrett Cropp, just finished his senior season too, what does that mean for your team having a senior QB like Garrett leading the team?
Dorian Judkins: Garrett Cropp was a great quarterback. He made big plays for us with both his feet and arm. Garrett is a great leader and example of what a leader is. He kept us together as one team and family and always picked us up after a loss.
Analyzed Sports: What colleges have expressed serious interest in you with signing day less than two months away?
Dorian Judkins: University of Massachusetts, University of Pikeville, Wagner, West Virginia State, St.Olaf College, Shenandoah, Mount St Joseph.
Analyzed Sports: What you like to do off-the-field like your interests in life.
Dorian Judkins: I like to hangout with friends, Workout, and Play Madden.
Analyzed Sports: Have you considered yet what field of study you would want to pursue in college or even a career field you want to pursue?
Dorian Judkins: I would like to major in business management.
Analyzed Sports: Do you have a pre-game music playlist that you like to listen to before each game?
Dorian Judkins: My pregame music is usually rap. i listen to Shy Glizzy, Kanye, Lil druk, Montana 300, also sometimes Katy Perry.
Analyzed Sports: Who is one football player you would love to play catch with, past or present?
Dorian Judkins: I would love to play with Tavon Austin because i model my game after him.
Analyzed Sports: Who is your favorite college and NFL team?
Dorian Judkins: My favorite college team is Texas A&M and NFL team is the Redskins.
Analyzed Sports: What does football mean to you?
Dorian Judkins: Football means a lot to me because its my life. It has opened opportunities for me to grow as a person and become a well rounded young man. The first ball i ever touched was a football and ever since then it has been apart of my life and will continue to be apart of my life.
